Secured short-term financing

What is a Bridging Loan?

Bridging is a short-term loan secured against property or land. This type of financing can often last from one week to three years and is often used to secure assets in a timely manner.

When is Bridging required?

Bridging finance can be used for a plethora of reasons. They are most commonly used to purchase a new property before an existing one has sold but, can also be used to acquire property with sight to undertake a development and remortgage upon the developed (and greater valued) property.  Other times, clients may wish to utilise bridging finance at auction, for an understandably timely acquisition. Or perhaps to release equity should the client require short-term funds.
